David W. Foulk, MD, prides himself on pioneering the most state-of-the-art, comprehensive women’s healthcare treatment in the Marion, Ohio, area. He founded Marion Ob/Gyn Inc. over 30 years ago with the mission of providing innovative and minimally invasive procedures, while forging a practice built on trust and compassion.
Born and raised in Bucyrus, Ohio, Dr. Foulk graduated summa cum laude from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio, with a BA in Pre-Med, Chemistry, and Zoology. He was admitted to Phi Lambda Upsilon, The National Chemistry Honor Society, and served on the Zoology Board.
Dr. Foulk earned his MD at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He was one of six medical students chosen for the highly selective Sports Medicine Rotation, where he served as a team physician for the OSU Football and the full sports department.
At OSU, Dr. Foulk realized that he loved the OB/GYN specialty. He completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where he served as Chief Resident.
Immediately after his residency, Dr. Foulk relocated to Marion with his wife and children. He and his family quickly became part of the community and have happily established many cherished, long-term friendships.
Dr. Foulk is a Fellow Member and board certified by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). He is also a member of the American Medical Association, The American Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, The Ohio State Medical Association, The Marion Academy of Physicians, The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and served as Chief for over 20 years for the OB/GYN Department at Marion General Hospital.
Dr. Foulk was the very first recipient of Marion General Hospital's Physician of the Year Award. He was also the recipient of the Customer Service Physician Champion Award in 2012 for Marion General and Ohio Health.
